France’s Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) reports a sharp rise in crypto asset ownership among French adults, with 9% holding crypto assets in 2023. Notably, younger individuals under 35 are driving this trend, influenced by digital trends and social networks. While traditional investments still dominate portfolios, 54% of new investors, especially those aged 25-34, own crypto assets compared to only 25% of traditional investors. However, the AMF study highlights the need for improved financial education, as many new investors lack understanding of investment fundamentals. The trend reflects a generational shift towards digital finance solutions.
