Bitcoin 2024: The Year of Bitcoin ETF Ads

In late 2023, something amazing happened: mainstream advertising for Bitcoin ETFs began. 2023 Bitcoin’s Epic Rally: The Year Bitcoin Rewrote the Rulebook

As we greet 2024, it’s hard not to look back at the rollercoaster journey Bitcoin has had. In 2023, Bitcoin did something incredible. It managed to jump up by 155%, making it a year that’ll be remembered in the history of investments. It wasn’t just a good year for Bitcoin; it was a year that changed how people see it. The moments that really made a difference were when a big bank went under, shaking up the financial world. Then came an investment giant, applying to start up a Bitcoin fund. This showed everyone that Bitcoin was getting serious attention.

But the real game-changer happened when Argentina got a new leader who was all in on Bitcoin. This wasn’t just good news for Bitcoin fans in Argentina—it sent Bitcoin’s value soaring even higher, all around the world.

From the moment it started to get noticed back in 2017, Bitcoin has had its fair share of rollercoaster moments. Some months were tough, with losses that made some people doubt. But then there were amazing months where the value just soared, making those who stuck with it very happy. Like in 2020, despite the world being hit by a pandemic, Bitcoin ended the year on a high.

Bitcoin’s shown us that it can handle the wild ride. It’s been through a lot and keeps coming back stronger. Now, with the excitement of last year behind us, everyone’s wondering what Bitcoin will do next. Will it keep going up, or is it time for a quiet period? We’re all watching and waiting, but one thing’s for sure—Bitcoin still has everyone talking and is still a hot topic for those who want to invest.

Introduction to Wallet Passphrases

Any person in possession of a Bitcoin recovery seed phrase can independently access the private keys and thus gain access to the bitcoin in it, regardless of the hardware or software used. Many Bitcoin users take additional measures to prevent the loss of bitcoin in case of theft or involuntary access to the recovery seed phrase. One way to protect the recovery seed is by using a passphrase.

Federal Judge Denies Zhao’s Second Request to Leave US

Changpeng Zhao (CZ), former CEO of Binance, faces repeated setbacks in his attempts to travel outside the United States before his scheduled sentencing in February. U.S. District Court Judge Richard Jones rejected Zhao’s multiple motions seeking permission to visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where his family resides.

Former CEO of Binance: Legal Battles and Flight Risks

The court’s decisions stemmed from concerns about Zhao being a potential flight risk due to his considerable wealth and the absence of an extradition treaty between the U.S. and the UAE. He pled guilty to violating the Bank Secrecy Act, as part of a $4.3 billion deal involving Binance and U.S…. Read more on bitcoinnews

Web3 Watch: Crypto commercials are back

Nearly two years after Matt Damon declared that “fortune favors the brave” during Super Bowl LVI, commercials are once again fashionable in crypto.

After FTX’s demise led to a PR nightmare for the celebrities and venues associated with its advertising, crypto commercials took on a decidedly more muted tone for a long while. But that seems to be changing, now that Bitwise, Hashdex, and VanEck are all jockeying for better positioning in the bitcoin ETF “Cointucky Derby.” Each have released mobile-focused ad videos in the past two weeks.

Bitwise employed a spin on beer brand Dos Equis’ well-known “The Most Interesting Man in the World” ad campaign in its commercial,…

Funding Wrap: Funding sees first quarterly increase since Q1 2022

After a year and a half of decline, crypto venture funding finally turned around this quarter. Publicly available data shows crypto startups raised roughly $3.1 billion in Q4, up from $2.1 billion in Q2 and $1.7 billion in Q3.

As prices fell, interest rates rose. The fallout from a turbulent 2022 carried on, with venture interest muted in mid-2023. A Galaxy report showed crypto’s Q3 funding was the sector’s lowest since 2020. The Q4 figures move crypto funding numbers closer to where they were in the first quarter of 2023, when $3.3 billion flowed into crypto firms.

Bitcoin’s End-of-Year Price Evolution: A Decade in Review

As the world celebrates the close of another year, Bitcoin’s end-of-year prices paint a picture of dramatic growth and notable resilience. The data provided captures a decade’s worth of Bitcoin’s value on December 31st, offering a lens into the Bitcoin’s evolving landscape.

From its humble beginnings at $315 in 2014, Bitcoin has undergone a remarkable transformation. The end of 2017 marked a historic surge, with its value at $13,379, signaling widespread interest and adoption. Despite the subsequent drop in 2018, the price trajectory underscores Bitcoin’s enduring appeal.

The year 2020’s price point of $28,919 highlights a significant rebound, indicating robust market confidence. A slight decrease in 2022 did little to dampen the spirit, as the price bounced back to an impressive $42,419 by the end of 2023. This showcases not just a recovery but a substantial increase, signifying an asset that has grown exponentially over the past decade.

This decade-long journey reflects Bitcoin’s volatile yet upward-moving market trend, illustrating its potential as an asset despite its unpredictable nature. Investors have witnessed a narrative of growth, though such historical trends should be approached with caution, as the market’s future remains as dynamic as ever. Investment decisions in the Bitcoin realm should be made with comprehensive research and a clear understanding of individual risk tolerance.
