The National Stock Market Commission (CNMV), Spain’s principal financial regulator, called out the fraudulent crypto assets promos on X (formerly Twitter) and reiterated the obligation of companies to comply with local laws.

Cryptocurrency trading platform Bitget has dropped plans to obtain a Virtual Asset Trading Platform (VATP) license in Hong Kong, citing business and market-related considerations.
Bitget officially announced on Nov. 13 that its Hong Kong division, BitgetX, accessible by the domain BitgetX.hk, will cease operations by Dec. 13, 2023.
As Bitget decided not to apply for a VATP license, the firm will have to permanently withdraw from the Hong Kong market, the announcement notes.

Data from BitInfoCharts reveals a remarkable surge in crypto wealth, with the number of Bitcoin wallet addresses holding over $1 million skyrocketing by 237% this year. Starting at 23,795 on January 1, it has now reached 81,925. It’s important to note that not all of these addresses belong to individual users, as many are held by exchanges and institutions. Meanwhile, the count of “wholecoiners” (those with at least 1 BTC) increased by 4% since the year began, totaling 1,018,015 addresses. Bitcoin’s current price sits at approximately $37,100, driven by optimism about potential ETF approvals.
The Bitcoin (BTC) mining community recorded its annual all-time high (ATH) on Nov. 12 after raking in over $44 million in block rewards and transaction fees.
The revenue from Bitcoin mining primarily comes from rewards for confirming Bitcoin transactions and creating new blocks using high-tech computer equipment known as mining rigs. Miners currently receive 6.25 BTC for every successful block creation in addition to the transaction fees.
