What Is A Bitcoiner?

When bitcoin adoption reaches a global scale, it is likely there will no longer be bitcoin podcasts, bitcoin conferences or even, sorry to say this, a need for a Bitcoin Magazine. However, until this point, people interested in bitcoin will be differentiated from those who are yet to begin their journey down the bitcoin rabbit hole. The question is then raised, how does a bitcoiner describe themselves to others, that may help bridge the chasm between their own understanding and those still plugged into The Matrix?

Given the inflationary policies of successive governments, globally (see Rune Østgård excellent book Fraudcoin for more information), nearly everyone with resources has had to…

Nvidia posts record $18B third quarter revenue, cites generative AI as primary driver

Nvidia announced third quarter revenue for 2023 in the amount of $18.12 billion, a company record, as the firm’s market cap now reaches $1.22 trillion.

The better-than-expected earnings follow a 12-month growth trend during which the company saw earnings increase by 34% over last quarter, and 206% over Q3 2022.

While the company beat estimates, the strong quarter likely didn’t surprise investors or shareholders as the company’s stock recently spiked to an all time high of $499.60 per share.

Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang credited the growth to AI hardware sales:

“Our strong growth reflects the broad industry platform transition from general-purpose to accelerated computing and… Read more on Cointelegraph

DeFi protocol Spool rolls out compliance-focused ‘V2’ to court institutions

Spool Finance has launched v2 of its DeFi middleware product in hopes of becoming a gateway for institutions to enter decentralized finance.

Spool v2 was created with an eye to regulatory compliance following feedback from the traditional finance institutions Spool is courting with its DeFi product. Two major institutions could join the fray through Spool by the end of next year, the project’s lead contributor said, but declined to name them.

To assure regulatory compliance, Spool was advised by the white-shoe Swiss law firm Bär & Karrer.

The Spool protocol launched in March 2022 as a “set it and forget it” solution for DeFi investment. The platform creates automated yield…

Do science, earn crypto: Coinbase CEO’s other startup sees record price rally

When the world was enthralled by the alien mummy hoax out of Mexico City a few months back, ResearchHub co-founder Patrick Joyce — alongside other ResearchHub insiders — quickly put up a total of 42,500 ResearchCoins (RSC) for anyone who would run tests on purported DNA samples of the “bodies.”

The crypto bounties, together worth $660 at the time but $7,400 today thanks to a recent 1,000% pump, were available days before local doctors ran lab tests on the supposed specimens.

Those tests didn’t really say much. Just that the skeleton was complete and hadn’t been assembled by piecing together multiple remains.

On ResearchHub, however, someone found the DNA samples were…

State Adoption: A Trojan Horse Challenging Core Tenet's Of Personal Liberty

The saying “government will ban Bitcoin” is one of the most frequently used pieces of FUD. It is something that every Bitcoiner intellectually wrestles with on their journey down the Bitcoin rabbit hole. It is a frequently cited reason by those skeptical of Bitcoin to justify their reluctance to explore further education. Thankfully many excellent writers have written extensively debunking this piece of FUD. Bitcoiners often emphasize the logistical challenges, intense resource costs, game-theoretical complexities, and the sheer implausibility of any attempt by the State to outlaw Bitcoin. While Bitcoiners hail these writings as compelling evidence of the inevitable advent of…
