After a plane, a ferry, and a train had brought me to Manhattan, NY, we found ourselves with thirty-something minutes to set up for a sit-down interview with presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., thirty-something floors high in a Hudson Yards’ hotel. Captured by filmmaker Jeremy Poley, RFK answered our questions for about forty minutes. His responses were sharp and well articulated with an encyclopedic recall ability. He answered every single question I had prepared. Perhaps lost in the mainstream noise attempting to diminish his inarguable…

Bitcoin derivatives traders target $40K BTC price now that Binance is resolved

The cryptocurrency market recently experienced events that were previously expected to present a severe negative price impact, and yet, Bitcoin (BTC) trades near $37,000 on Nov. 22, which is essentially flat from three days prior.

Such performance was utterly unexpected given the relevance of Binance’s plea deal on Nov. 21 with the United States Authorities for violating laws involving money laundering and terror financing.

Bearish news has had limited impact on Bitcoin price

One might argue that entities have been manipulating Bitcoin’s price to avoid contagion, possibly involving the issuing of unbacked stablecoins–especially those with direct ties to the exchanges suffering from…

Bitcoin ordinals startup Taproot Wizards hires CTO after seed raise

Taproot Wizards, the bitcoin ordinals startup that announced a $7.5 million round led by Standard Crypto last week, is bringing on the pseudonymous developer Rijndael as its chief technology officer.

Co-founded by Udi Wertheimer and Eric Wall, Taproot Wizards is a generative art collection inscribed with bitcoin ordinals, a recent add-on to the network that lets data be inscribed as NFTs and other digital collectibles.

Traders hate uncertainty; hence, the settlement between Binance, Changpeng “CZ” Zhao and the United States Department of Justice is likely to be viewed as a positive for the cryptocurrency space. Analysts largely remained positive on the deal, but a few sounded cautious due to the Securities and Exchange Commission’s pending lawsuit against Binance.

Bitcoin (BTC) and several major altcoins fell sharply on Nov. 21 following the Binance news but are finding support at lower levels. This suggests that traders stepped in after the initial knee-jerk reaction, and are buying at lower levels. After the initial bounce, the bulls are likely to head into stiff opposition from the bears.

BlackRock met with SEC officials to discuss spot Bitcoin ETF

Representatives from BlackRock and the Nasdaq met with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission to discuss the proposed rule allowing the listing of a spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund, or ETF.

According to a Nov. 20 SEC memo, BlackRock provided a presentation detailing how the firm could use an in-kind or in-cash redemption model for its iShares Bitcoin Trust. It’s unclear how SEC officials responded to the two proposed models or if they intend to approve a spot BTC ETF after numerous delays and rejections.

Crypto’s rally on Binance news could prove to be short-lived

Crypto markets stabilized Wednesday after a brief dip Tuesday following news that Binance and former CEO Changpeng Zhao had entered into an agreement with the US government, terms of which include Zhao’s guilty plea and a payment of $4.3 billion in fines and forfeitures from Binance.

Bitcoin and ether posted gains this morning, rallying around 2% and 5%, respectively. Stocks also opened in the green, with the Nasdaq Composite up around 0.8% and the S&P 500 gaining about 0.6% in the half hour after the open.

Crypto’s rally is not surprising, analysts say, as Binance’s settlement with the US Department of Justice is largely being perceived as a step in the right direction, and…

HTX exchange loses $13.6M in hot wallet hack: Report

HTX, formerly Huobi Global, suffered an estimated loss of $13.6 million as part of the $86.6 million HECO Chain bridge exploit on Nov. 22.

Justin Sun, de-facto owner of HTX and founder of Tron and BitTorrent, both related entities, stated shortly after the exploit that “HTX Will Fully…
