LATEST: Anthony Scaramucci Predicts Wall Street’s Salesforce Poised to Drive Billions into Bitcoin with ETF

Anthony Scaramucci, SkyBridge Capital founder, during a recent podcast appearance, highlighted the potential of a federally approved Bitcoin ETF to dramatically change the investment scene. He emphasized the underutilized strength of Wall Street’s marketing, predicting that ETF sellers would become Bitcoin advocates, reaching a wider audience. Scaramucci’s vision involves traditional brokers and platforms like E-Trade and Fidelity facilitating Bitcoin investments. He speculated that even a 1% portfolio allocation by major firms could inject over $110 billion into Bitcoin, underscoring a significant shift in investment strategies.

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) called on the public to comment on a proposed rule change that could allow asset management firm Fidelity to offer shares of its spot Ether exchange-traded fund, or ETF.

In a Nov. 30 notice, the SEC said “interested persons” may comment on the Fidelity offering, proposing the Cboe BZX Exchange list and trade shares of its Fidelity Ethereum Fund. Fidelity first filed for approval of the fund on Nov. 17, becoming one of many firms looking to throw their hats into the ring for a spot crypto ETF in the United States.

Has been long known that Fidelity entered the spot ETF race but this filing *essentially* starts the ~240+ day clock…

Treasury’s Wally Adeyemo: My agency needs more power to regulate crypto

US Treasury Deputy Secretary Wally Adeyemo has a message for digital asset firms: Get in line, or end up like Binance.

“I hoped the digital asset industry would take up this call to partner with government, design new tools and pursue new ways to protect digital assets from being abused,” Adeyemo said at the Blockchain Association Policy Summit in Washington DC Wednesday.

While many digital asset firms have taken steps toward compliance, others have failed to act. According to Adeyemo, this “represents a clear and present danger for national security.”

The Rise Of Ordinals And NFTs On The Medium Of Bitcoin

The Ordinals protocol was introduced to Bitcoin in early 2023 at a most opportune time. Bitcoin had nearly two years of low transaction fees from the lack of demand to actually send Bitcoin transactions. Bitcoin is considered to be the most secure blockchain in the world, but that security depends on miners who receive their revenue from transaction fees and block rewards.
