LATEST: Riot’s Latest Bitcoin Mining Facility Opens in Corsicana, Texas

Riot Platforms, Inc. has reached a significant milestone by energizing the substation at its expansive Corsicana Facility in Navarro County, Texas. Jason Les, CEO, celebrated this achievement, marking two years since the acquisition of the land with the goal to establish the world’s largest Bitcoin mining hub. The newly operational 400-megawatt substation at the Corsicana Facility is a testament to the team’s dedication and is set to escalate Riot’s self-mining hash rate capacity to an impressive 31 EH/s by the end of 2024.

The Corsicana Facility, poised to become the largest known Bitcoin mining site globally with a planned capacity of 1 GW, has already begun operations with its first phase. The initial 400 MW phase will boost Riot’s capacity by 16 EH/s by the end of 2024, starting with Building A1’s miners now active and hashing. As the facility expands with additional buildings set to come online, the total anticipated self-mining capacity will achieve a groundbreaking 31 EH/s, showcasing Riot’s robust growth trajectory in the cryptocurrency sector.
