Marathon Digital Holdings, Inc., a leading Bitcoin mining company, has launched two revolutionary products, MARAFW firmware and MARA UCB 2100 control board, aimed at enhancing Bitcoin mining rigs’ efficiency and performance. The company, known for its substantial role in the Bitcoin ecosystem, has been testing these innovations for a year and is now deploying MARAFW across its 200,000+ mining rigs. These advancements are now available to the wider mining community, with Marathon already recording sales to several enterprise clients.
MARAFW, a custom firmware, boosts miner performance by optimizing chip settings, offering features for both overclocking to increase Bitcoin production and underclocking for efficiency. It includes thermal protection and is compatible with most control boards, including the MARA UCB 2100. The latter, a cutting-edge control board designed by Marathon, supports diverse mining rigs and pools, preloaded with MARAFW.
Fred Thiel, Marathon’s CEO, highlights the move as an opportunity for the mining community to leverage Marathon’s proprietary tech for improved profitability and efficiency, especially with the upcoming halving event. Marathon will showcase these technologies at the Empower Conference in Houston from March 26-27, 2024.
