Jim Cramer admits he was wrong about Bitcoin — ‘I was premature’

Markets commentator Jim Cramer has tacitly admitted he was wrong about Bitcoin (BTC), saying he was premature in calling for investors to sell the cryptocurrency.

In a Nov. 22 segment of his CNBC Mad Money show, Cramer responded to a caller who inquired about buying shares in Bitcoin miner CleanSpark, saying that anyone who likes Bitcoin should increase their exposure to it.

“Look, if you like Bitcoin, buy Bitcoin. That has always been my view. And for a while, I liked it, and I decided that money had been made, but I was premature.”

Cramer added that despite not having made perfect calls on Bitcoin previously, he’d still “made a lot of money” from his investment in it.

“We’re just doing everything we can to get ready for a bull market because we know that when the bull market comes, it happens very fast,” he said. “You need to make sure you have the processes, people, and infrastructure in place so when your business triples overnight, you can…

Sounds fishy, but SBF is trading mackerel in prison: Report

The crypto trading days of former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried are over, and the recently convicted founder has found a new thing to trade while in jail — fish.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Nov. 23 that Bankman-Fried recently traded four packets of Mackerel — known in prison as “macks” — for a haircut before his criminal trial last month.

Mackerel packets have risen to be the hottest trading commodity in United States prisons since tobacco products were banned. Postage stamps and soup packets — “soups” — respectively come second and third on the value hierarchy. The commissary of the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) where Bankman-Fried is housed sells mackerel…

X restricts Changpeng Zhao’s account after name change removes ‘Binance’

Social media platform X — formerly Twitter — restricted the account of former Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao without explanation other than suggesting “they may have potentially violated the X Rules.”

On Nov. 23, X users could briefly view CZ’s account only after clicking on a button to acknowledge it was “temporarily restricted.” Zhao resigned as CEO of crypto exchange Binance on Nov. 21 as part of a settlement with U.S. authorities in which he pleaded guilty to one felony charge.

According to a Nov. 23 update from Zhao following the event, the former Binance CEO speculated that the restriction was an automated response to him changing his profile name from “CZ…

KyberSwap attacker used ‘infinite money glitch’ to drain funds: DeFi expert

The attacker who drained $46 million from KyberSwap relied on a “complex and carefully engineered smart contract exploit” to carry out the attack, according to a social media thread by Ambient exchange founder Doug Colkitt.

Colkitt labeled the exploit an “infinite money glitch.” According to him, the attacker took advantage of a unique implementation of KyberSwap’s concentrated liquidity feature to “trick” the contract into believing it had more liquidity than it did in reality.

1/ Finished a preliminary deep dive into the Kyber exploit, and think I now have a pretty good understanding of what happened.

This is easily the most complex and carefully engineered smart contract…

Amid ongoing campaigns for the elections in 2024, many United States lawmakers have not sealed the deal on legislation aimed at establishing regulatory clarity on aspects of the digital asset space, including stablecoins.
