LATEST: Bernstein Forecasts Crypto Market to Reach $7.5 Trillion by 2025 End

Bernstein analysts predict a bright future for the cryptocurrency market, expecting it to triple in value to a staggering $7.5 trillion by the end of 2025. This optimistic forecast is driven by an anticipated wave of institutional adoption unlike any seen before. Leading the charge, Bitcoin is projected to hit the $3 trillion mark, with the Ethereum ecosystem not far behind at $1.8 trillion. Other prominent blockchains like Solana and Avax are also expected to contribute significantly, totaling $1.4 trillion.

The analysts believe that blockchain gaming will emerge as a dominant application for consumers. Furthermore, the newly introduced U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds are expected to quintuple in assets under management, from $60 billion today to $300 billion by 2025.

Focusing on Robinhood, Bernstein initiates coverage with a positive outlook, projecting an 80% increase in stock price to $30, fueled by the crypto revival. They anticipate Robinhood’s crypto revenues to grow ninefold, leading to a major financial turnaround for the company from a loss in 2023 to a projected net income of about $910 million by 2025, marking a milestone year for the fintech and cryptocurrency sectors.

Hut 8 eyes growth around the Bitcoin halving — but not at all costs

A few months after the merger between crypto miner Hut 8 and US Bitcoin Corp, the combined company’s new CEO says building back shareholder trust remains a challenge.

Leading up to, and following, the next Bitcoin halving slated for next month, the company’s focuses include growth — “but not growth at all costs,” Hut 8 CEO Asher Genoot told Blockworks.

Genoot, a co-founder and former chief operating officer at US Bitcoin Corp, replaced Jaime Leverton as the miner’s CEO just weeks after the deal closed. The switch was made in an effort to help the company move in “a new strategic direction,” according to Hut 8’s board of directors.

In Genoot’s first few weeks as…

Craig Wright Is Not The Inventor of Bitcoin, Judge Rules

In a landmark ruling, a judge at London’s High Court declared that Craig Wright, the Australian ‘computer scientist’ who has long claimed to be the elusive creator of Bitcoin, is not Satoshi Nakamoto. This decision came following a legal confrontation with the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA), seeking to prevent Wright from suing bitcoin developers and requesting a ruling affirming that he is not Satoshi.

In a recent interview, Back explained his bullish perspective on Bitcoin’s potential. “I think it’s kind of overdue already,” he said about Bitcoin reaching a six-figure valuation.

Bitcoin Has No Top Because Fiat Has No Bottom: Understanding Monetary Debasement

MONETARY DEBASEMENT

Debasement refers to the action or process of reducing the quality or value of something. When talking about fiat currencies, debasement traditionally refers to the practice of reducing the precious metal content in coins while keeping their nominal value the same, thereby diluting the coin’s intrinsic worth. In a modern context, debasement has evolved to mean the reduction in the value or purchasing power of a currency — such as when central banks increase the supply of money, in the process lowering the nominal value of each unit.

LATEST: Adam Back Claims Bitcoin Hitting $100K Is Long Overdue as It Reaches Above$73K

Adam Back, a pivotal figure in the cryptocurrency sector, highlighted Bitcoin’s recent surge to a historic high of $73,737, remarking on the subdued excitement among enthusiasts. This calm, he suggests, comes from the widespread anticipation that Bitcoin’s value hitting $100,000 is imminent and well-deserved. Despite this significant milestone, the community’s focus is on “when” rather than “if” Bitcoin will reach this landmark figure.

Back’s forecasts have previously included a Bitcoin value exceeding $100,000, especially in light of the upcoming halving event designed to decrease supply and potentially boost prices further. The market sentiment has sharply turned to “extreme greed,” fueled by strategic investments and Bitcoin’s growing integration into traditional finance, indicating a bullish outlook.

With Bitcoin moving from exchanges to private wallets, indicating a tightening supply, and the crypto community gearing up for significant events like the halving, the path to $100,000 seems more a question of timing than possibility.
