LATEST: Morgan Stanley will Offer Bitcoin and Crypto Trading to All e-Trade Clients

Morgan Stanley is preparing to offer Bitcoin and other crypto trading on its e-Trade platform aiming for a launch in 2025. The move could make it the first major US bank to offer direct retail crypto trading at scale signaling a bold step into the digital asset market.

The investment giant manages $1.7 trillion in assets and began exploring crypto integration earlier this year. Now it is accelerating plans amid a more favorable regulatory climate under President Trump. E-Trade currently allows indirect crypto exposure but not direct spot trading.

Executives say this is a strategic push to compete with platforms like Coinbase and Robinhood. Morgan Stanley is also considering partnerships with established crypto firms. This follows the bank’s earlier decision to offer Bitcoin ETFs from BlackRock and Fidelity to high-net-worth clients showing a deepening commitment to crypto innovation.
