Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milojko Spajić has held discussions with Bitcoin industry leaders, including JAN3 executives Samson Mow, Serbia’s Prince Filip Karađorđević, and Ben Van Hool, to explore the potential of Bitcoin mining in the country. They discussed the concept of Bitcoin hydro bonds, powered by Montenegro’s abundant rivers and renewable resources, to fund BTC mining. Prime Minister Spajić emphasized the country’s vast hydroelectric potential, estimated at 5.6 to 6.1 TWh annually. The initiative aims to unlock new economic growth opportunities, signaling Montenegro’s readiness to embrace Bitcoin’s transformative possibilities, inspired by El Salvador’s volcano bonds.
