LATEST: Japanese Company Remixpoint Acquires 55.6 Bitcoin as Part of Investment Strategy

Remixpoint Inc. has purchased ¥887.3 million worth of Bitcoin acquiring 55.68 BTC at an average price of ¥15.94 million per coin. The move boosts its total holdings to 981.39 BTC now valued at approximately ¥15.63 billion. The company’s unrealized gains from its Bitcoin investment stand at ¥2.32 billion showing strong confidence in long term digital asset value.

The funds for this latest purchase came from stock acquisition rights exercised on June 10. Remixpoint originally operated in the auto and energy sectors but has shifted focus to digital assets. It remains one of Japan’s few public firms with direct Bitcoin exposure seeing it as a hedge against the weakening yen and a reliable store of value.

Bitcoin adoption among Japanese companies is on the rise. Metaplanet was the first to shift fully into Bitcoin in 2024 moving away from hospitality to become a digital asset-focused firm. That bold step sparked growing interest from other corporations including Remixpoint.
