LATEST: Cardano Network Hits 90 Million Transactions, Ahead Of Upgrades

Cardano (ADA) has reached a remarkable milestone, recording 90 million transactions on its blockchain network. This achievement reflects Cardano’s consistent growth and its appeal to a diverse set of users and developers. With 169 projects launched, 1,357 in development, and 9.96 million native tokens, the Cardano ecosystem continues to expand, supported by 117,275 token policies and 43,933 Plutus scripts.

The network is on the verge of introducing transformative upgrades that will enhance its capabilities. The imminent rollout of the Ouroboros Genesis protocol, part of the Chang upgrade, promises to bolster network security and scalability. This advancement will mark the final stage in transitioning to fully decentralized peer-to-peer (P2P) node operations, an essential step in Cardano’s roadmap.

Further upgrades, including enhancements to the Plutus smart contract platform, will introduce features such as improved throughput and performance, sidechain bridges, and Mithril integration. These developments position Cardano to usher in a new era of innovation and growth, further solidifying its presence in the blockchain industry.
