Crypto exchange Kraken has secured a MiCA license through Ireland paving the way for its crypto services across the European Economic Area. The new license allows Kraken to offer products in thirty countries and reinforces its commitment to fully regulated digital asset trading in Europe.
Kraken’s co-CEO Arjun Sethi celebrated the milestone as a strategic move to grow their client base and deliver accessible secure crypto solutions. This will support the company as it expands its offerings and caters to both retail and institutional customers across the continent.
The MiCA framework sets clear guidelines for all crypto firms in Europe and went into full effect last year. Other global exchanges like Coinbase and Gemini have also pursued MiCA licensing in different European countries. This positions Europe as a strong and transparent crypto market welcoming innovation and new players.
